Walter E. Czuba, 64, of Moline, IL, died Wednesday, September 6, 2017, at home.
Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10 a.m. Monday, September 11, 2017, at Christ the King Catholic Church, 3209 60th Street, Moline. Visitation will be from 2 to 4 p.m. Sunday, September 10, 2017, at Esterdahl Mortuary & Crematory, Ltd., 6601 38th Avenue, Moline. Burial will be at Moline Memorial Park. Memorials may be made to Quad Cities Alzheimers Association or to Beacon of Hope Hospice.
Walter was born on December 2, 1952, in Chicago, IL, the son of Stanley and Florence Kopala Czuba. He was a graduate of the University of Illinois. He married Josephine Malinowski on May 15, 1983, in Chicago, IL. For 24 years, he worked as a pilot for Fidlar & Chambers and later for Elliott Aviation for 10 to 15 years, retiring in 2004.
Walter was a member of Christ the King Catholic Church in Moline.
Survivors include his wife, Josephine Czuba; 2 children, Kristin Czuba, Moline, IL, and Matthew (Shawna) Czuba, Wentzville, MO; 3 grandchildren, Jacob Czuba, Madelyn Czuba, and Isabelle Czuba; sister, Kristina (Robert) McVey, Las Vegas, NV; 2 brothers, Robert (Lynn) Czuba, Palos Hill, IL, and Stanley (Elaine) Czuba, Kingston, IL.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
