Albert L. Larson, 46, of Port Byron, IL, died Thursday, August 20, 2015, at home.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. with a visitation one hour prior to the service on Wednesday, August 26, 2015, at Esterdahl Mortuary & Crematory, Ltd., 6601 38th Avenue, Moline. Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday, August 25, 2015, at the funeral home. Per his wishes, cremation rites will be accorded following the services. Memorials may be made to his daughters to help with funeral expenses.
Albert was born on July 2, 1969, in Silvis, IL, the son of John A. and Linda M. Roberts Larson. He was raised in Port Byron, IL and graduated from UT High School. He worked as a heating, air, and geothermal technician for Soukup Heating & Air and QC Geo Thermal.
Albert was well known for helping friends and family in need. Albert was always willing to drop whatever he was doing to come to their rescue.
Albert enjoyed watching NASCAR and local stock car races. Most recently, he was afforded the opportunity to fulfill his lifelong dream of driving an actual NASCAR at the Daytona International Speedway. Albert also enjoyed hunting, bonfires and spending time with his family and friends. Albert loved and took great pride in working on the family farm and never passed up a good meal!
Survivors include his daughters, Amanda (Michael) Dawson, Port Byron, IL, and Amber (Chris) Drollsbaugh, Reynolds, IL, Alicia (Rick) Murphy; 5 grandchildren, Blaze Dawson, Cadence Dawson, Stefan Drollsbaugh, Aubree Murphy and Shadrick Murphy; mother, Linda Roberts, East Moline, IL; 3 sisters, Lorena (Terry) Mattley, Valorie Anderson, Susan Larson; 1 brother, John Larson Jr.; significant other, Lucy Dawson, Port Byron, IL.
He was preceded in death by his father.
