Alberta F. Hinkhouse, 92, of Rock Island, IL, died Tuesday, October 06, 2015, at Rosewood Care Center of Moline, Moline, IL.
Funeral services will be 10:00 a.m., Saturday, October 10, 2015 at Esterdahl Mortuary & Crematory, 6601 - 38th Avenue, Moline, IL. Visitation will be from 4 to 7 on Friday, October 9, 2015 at the funeral home. Burial will be at 12:30 Saturday at Lime City Cemetery in Wilton, IA. Memorials may be made to the family.
Alberta was born on January 15, 1923, in Rock Island, IL, the daughter of Arthur & Bertha Henrich Ferkel. She married Gerald D. Rushton. She later married John Hinkhouse in Wilton, IA in 1977.
Alberta owned Hatfield Corner Restaurant and Truck Stop in Wilton, IA. She previously worked at Augustana College, Petersen Harned Von Maur and Pioneer Corn in Durant. She loved bingo, dancing, and yodeling.
