Alice Marie Nelson, 94, of East Moline, died April2, 2009 at Genesis Medical Center, Illini Campus, Silvis.
Funeral services will be 1:30 p.m. Monday, April 6, 2009 at Esterdahl Mortuary & Crematory, Ltd. 6601-38th Ave., Moline. Visitation will be Sunday from 3-5 p.m. at the funeral home. Burial will be in Moline Memorial Park. Memorials may be made to American Cancer Society or American Heart Association.
Alice was born October 18, 1914 in Moline to Edward and Anna (Allen) Coussens. She married Gilbert E. Nelson on June 22, 1935 in Rock Island. He preceded her in death on December 3, 1977.
Alice was a clerk at JC Penny Department Store retiring in 1984. She was a member of Faith Lutheran Church, Moline and Clara Lodge No. 118 Independent Order of Vikings. She enjoyed crocheting, sewing and playing Bingo.
