Alvelardo R. "Trapper" Ponce, 81, of Rock Island, IL, died Friday, April 10, 2015, at Hope Creek Care Center, East Moline, IL.
Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Wednesday, April 15, 2015 at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church, 800 17th Street, Silvis. Visitation will be on Tuesday from 4:00-6:30 p.m. with a rosary at 6:30 p.m. at Esterdahl Mortuary & Crematory, Ltd. 6601 38 Avenue, Moline. Burial will be at St. Mary's Cemetery. Memorials may be made to the Quad City Animal Welfare Center, Milan.
Alvelardo was born on January 19, 1934, in Silvis, Illinois, the son of Bernardo and Celia Soto Ponce. Trapper loved to people watch and express his opinion.
