Andy Seynaeve

Andy Seynaeve, 65, of Hampton passed away peacefully with family by his side on August 17th at Mercy One Genesis Hospital in Silvis.

The funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. on Thursday, August 27th at Esterdahl Mortuary & Crematory, Ltd., Moline. Visitation will be from 3-7 p.m. on Wednesday, August 26, 2026 at the funeral home. A private burial will take place at Rock Island National Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the family.

Andy requested that everyone dress casually and wear his favorite color, purple or Minnesota Vikings gear.

Andy was born on September 15, 1960 in Rock Island, Il to Fred and Frances (Miller) Seynaeve. After moving to Muscatine and graduating from Muscatine High School, Andy proudly served his country in The United States Navy on the USS Pintado until 1992. He worked for 25+ years at Exelon Nuclear Power Plant in Cordova, IL. He later worked as a bus driver at United Township High School.

He married Janet (Medwid) Seynaeve on September 12, 1998 in New York City. Andy’s passions included photography, NASCAR races, watching old war movies, attending air shows, playing his guitars, listening to music, and he was a die-hard Minnesota Vikings fan. Andy especially loved his dogs, Harley, Quinn and Khoshekh.

Survivors include his wife, Janet; children AJ, Toby and Ava Seynaeve, siblings Susan Elizabeth Jackson; Grant (Rosie Math) Jackson; and his father Fred Seynaeve.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Frances Jackson, amazing stepfather Gary Jackson; and 2 brothers, Randy and Dan Seynaeve.
