Angie L. Gyngard, 82, of Edgington, IL, died Sunday, August 16, 2015, at Heartland Health Care Center, Moline, IL.
A graveside service will be held at 10 a.m. Friday, August 21, 2015, at Greenview Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be from 4 to 5 p.m. Thursday, August 20, 2015, at Esterdahl Mortuary & Crematory, Ltd., 6601 38th Avenue, Moline. Memorials may be made to her family.
Angie was born on January 16, 1933, in Lynn, AR, the daughter of Willie and Opha Simmons Lynch. She married Robert D. Gyngard on January 3, 1948, in Lynn, AR, and he preceded her in death on June 17, 1989. She worked as a laborer and assembler for Servus Rubber and later as a cook for Rockridge High School.
Survivors include her two sisters, Shirley Matthews, Edgington, IL, and Clara Wise, VA; brother, Virgil (Elaine) Lynch, AR; many nieces and nephews including, Starla (Lee) Schmidt, Reynolds, IL, Michelle (Dan) Nixon, Davenport, IA, Rachael (Alex) Ortega, Rock Island, IL, and Zach Dusenberry, Rock Island, IL; and many great nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; daughter, Kathy Morris; grandson, Michael Kent; granddaughter, Angela Kent; 3 sisters, Marie Morgan, Mabel Alls, and Isophene Glenn.
