Ansley J. Carlson

Ansley J. Carlson, 89, of Cambridge, IL, passed away, March 14, 2026, at MercyOne Genesis Silvis Medical Center.

Per the families wishes, there are no services to be held. Cremation rites have been accorded. Esterdahl Mortuary and Crematory, Ltd., Orion is assisting the family. Memorials may be made to Cambridge Ambulance.

Ansley was born on October 1, 1936, in Moline, IL, the son of Karl and Ethel (Beckman) Carlson. He married Joyce Irene Kindelsperger on July 20, 1958. He was a member of Augustana Lutheran Church in Andover, IL. Ansley was also formerly in the Moose Club in Geneseo, IL and a former board member of FS and the North Edwards River District.

Survivors include his wife, Joyce; son, Mark (Julie) Carlson of Cambridge, IL; grandchildren, Brook (Andy) Carlson of Osco, IL, Jessica (Wade) Carlson, and Aaron Carlson of Cambridge, IL.; great-grandchildren, Kenlee Carlson, Brody Carlson, Kallie Carlson, Leyton Carlson, Kendall Carlson, Kallum Carlson, and Kholby Grant; brothers, Byron Carlson of Orion, IL, and Dennis (Kathy) Carlson of Gilchrist, IL; as well as several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents and sisters, Ruth (Ralph) Foss, Rose (Jack) Dahlstrom, and Ardis (Robert) McKeever.
