Aurora Navarro, 85, of Moline, IL, died peacefully on Monday, May 02, 2016, at UnityPoint Health – Trinity Rock Island, Rock Island, IL.

Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10 a.m. Friday, May 6, 2016, at St. Mary’s Catholic Church, 412 10th Street, Moline.  Visitation will be from 4 to 7 p.m. with a Rosary at 3:30 p.m. Thursday, May 5, 2016, at Esterdahl Mortuary & Crematory, Ltd., 6601 38th Avenue, Moline.  Burial will be at St. Mary’s Cemetery.  Memorials may be made to The Jim and Trudy Maloof St. Jude Midwest Affiliate Clinic or to St. Mary’s Catholic Church for Mass to be said in her name.

Aurora was born on August 19, 1930, in Bettendorf, IA, the daughter of Enrique and Carmen Ortiz Villagomez.  She married Antonio Trejo in 1946 and later married Angel Navarro in August of 1970.  Angel preceded her in death in 1993.

Aurora was a devout catholic and a member of St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Moline.  She loved to cook and loved her flowers and gardening.  Though she was a hard worker, Aurora also enjoyed life and music.  More than anything, she loved spending time with her family.

Survivors include her children, Maria (Robert) Vallejo, Teresa Lopez, Hector Trejo, Aurora (Brad) Johnson, Carmen (Luis) Lopez-Gaston, Rick Navarro; 14 grandchildren; 19 great grandchildren; 1 great great grandchild; brother, Ramon (Nelly) Villagomez; sisters, Raquel (Andres) Garcia and Carolina Villagomez.

She was preceded in death by her parents; son, Tony Trejo; 3 brothers, Raphael Villagomez, Vicente Villagomez, and Enrique Villagomez, Jr
