Barbara J. Mallette

Barbara J. Mallette, 82, of Bettendorf, passed away Monday, May 8, 2023, at Clarissa C. Cook Hospice House.

In accordance with the family’s wishes there will be no visitation or service. Inurnment will be at St. Mary’s Cemetery Mausoleum in East Moline. Memorials may be made to Crohn’s & Colitis Foundation. Esterdahl Mortuary & Crematory, Ltd., Moline, is assisting the family.

Barbara was born on October 27, 1940, in East Moline, the daughter of Harley and Idella (DeWaele) Lueders. She married Larry D. Mallette on June 19, 1970, in Moline. He preceded her in death on March 3, 2022. Barbara was a loving and devoted homemaker. She was a member of St. Mark’s Lutheran Church in Davenport. She enjoyed golfing, bowling, and especially being with her grandchildren.

Survivors include her children, Christine (Bud) Catterton, Scott (Michael Osso) Vande Voort, Randy (Barb) Vande Voort; 4 grandchildren; 8 great grandchildren; 1 great great granddaughter; brother, Fred Lueders; and lifelong friend Sharon Loding.

She was preceded in death by her husband.
