Barbara J. Williams

Barbara J. Williams, 95, of Davenport passed away on Tuesday, May 2, 2023, at her residence.

A funeral service will be 1:00 p.m. on Tuesday, May 9, 2023, at Esterdahl Mortuary & Crematory, Ltd., Moline.  Burial will follow at the National Cemetery on the Rock Island Arsenal.  Memorials may be made to her family.

Barbara was born on February 8, 1928, in Moline, the daughter of Muriel and Hilda (Jensen) McLaughlin.  She married Karl G. Williams on November 26, 1947, in Davenport, Iowa.  He preceded her in death on November 28, 1988.

Barbara was a co-owner of Williams Appliance and also worked as a bookkeeper, proof reader, usher and at her two son’s business.  She was a 1946 graduate of Moline High School.  Barbara enjoyed her pets, Vander Veer Park, reading, puzzles, fireworks and volunteering.

Survivors include her children, Kurt (Laura) Williams, Kristie (Michael) Lipes, Diane (Carey) Endrizzi, Karen Williams, Kent (Laurie) Williams, Keith (Melodie) Williams; and daughter-in-law, Peggy Williams; grandchildren, Danielle (Christopher) Heath, Michelle (Thomas) Connor, Morgan Williams, Chad Williams, Katie Rostenbach, Amber (Mark) Mason, Brandon Hedrick, Joshua (Rikki) Hedrick, Kalista Williams, Damien Williams, Ryan Lothrop, Cristina Lothrop, Gabriel Witcraft, Maximilian Witcraft, David Williams, Noah Williams, Lila Williams, Ada Williams, Tizita Williams, Moria Williams, and Eli Williams; 13 great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband; parents; daughter, Sandra; son, Karl “Mark”; and brother, Frank.
