Bernice Hamerlinck

Bernice Irene Hamerlinck, 88, of Orion, died Saturday, July 11, 2015 at Hillcrest Home in Geneseo.

Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, July 15, 2015 at Mary, Our Lady of Peace Catholic Church, 1402-10th Street, Orion. Visitation will be Tuesday from 4 to 7 p.m. with a prayer service at 3 p.m. at the church. Burial is at Western Township Cemetery in Orion. Memorials may be made to Mary, Our Lady of Peace Catholic Church.

Bernice was born November 23, 1926 in Milan, IL, the daughter of Alvin James and Katherine A.L. Carlson Curry. She married William Richard Hamerlinck on June 15, 1946 at St. Ambrose Catholic Church in Milan. He preceded her in death on August 25, 2012.

Bernice was a member of Mary, Our Lady of Peace Catholic Church where she was involved with the Altar and Rosary Society and the Choir. She was a World War II Mother, and a VFW Auxiliary member in Orion.
