Bertha "Lorry" Murdock

Bertha Loretta “Lorry” Murdock, 92, of Coal Valley, passed away Tuesday, June 21, 2022, at her home.

Memorial service will be held at Noon, Tuesday, November 22, 2022, at Esterdahl Mortuary & Crematory, Ltd., Moline. Private inurnment will be at Greenview Memorial Gardens in East Moline. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to First Lutheran Church, Moline, where she was a member.

Lorry was born on October 21, 1929, in Kewanee, IL, the daughter of Ollie Cecil and Bertha Josephine (Stephenson) Dry. She married Robert H. Murdock on June 8, 1950, at Trinity Lutheran Church in Moline. He preceded her in death on May 4, 2020.

Survivors include her children, Jeff (Sandy) Murdock, Tomball, TX and Cynthia Ann (Donald) Martin, Shelbyville, TN; grandchildren, Elizabeth (Donald) Searing, Van Alstyne, Texas, Samuel (Krissy) Murdock, Cypress, TX, and Chris Murdock, St. Louis, MO; and 5 great grandchildren, Llewellyn, Fraser, Liam, Quinn, Abigail.

She was preceded in death by her husband; parents; and sister, Kathleen Murphy.
