Betty (Bowman) Kraklow

Betty (Bowman) Kraklow, 87, of East Moline, IL, passed away peacefully on Saturday, October 11, 2025, joining her husband Duane in Heaven on his birthday, at Allure of Geneseo.

Graveside services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, October 15, 2025, at Zion Lutheran Cemetery, Taylor Ridge. Esterdahl Mortuary and Crematory, Ltd., Moline are assisting the family. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the funeral home, to help with funeral expenses.

Betty was born on June 28, 1938, to William and Alice (DaPron) Bowman. She married Duane “Dewey” Kraklow in East Moline, on May 19, 1962, and they had three children together; he preceded her in death on November 26, 2020. Betty worked for a news station before she had children. She also worked in the banking industry as a teller for several years. Betty’s last employer was Hy-Vee, working as a cashier for 10 years - a job she loved until retiring in 2021.

Survivors include her children, Brenda, Mark (Chris), and Karol Kraklow; grandchildren, Benjamin (Sara Gilland) Kraklow, Kevin (Elizabeth) Wintering, and Melia Kraklow; as well as many nieces and nephews.

The family would like to thank ALL of the staff who cared for Betty and consistently worked at keeping her comfortable in the short time she resided at Allure of Geneseo. Words cannot describe the gratitude the family holds for the staff.
