Betty Lou Ferguson

Betty Lou Ferguson, 88, of Silvis, IL, formerly of East Moline, IL, died Monday, January 20, 2014, at Illini Restorative Care, Silvis, IL.

Funeral Services will be held at 11 a.m. Monday, January 27, 2014, at Holy Cross Lutheran Church, 4107 21st Avenue, Moline, IL. Visitation will be from 10 to 11 a.m. prior to the service at the church. Burial will be at Greenview Memorial Gardens. Memorials may be made to Holy Cross Lutheran Church. Esterdahl Mortuary & Crematory, Ltd., Moline, is assisting the family with arrangements.

Betty was born on December 26, 1925, in Trenton, MO, the daughter of Herschel and Mattie Faye (Jackson) Foster. She married Hersey David Ferguson on September 30, 1943, at Westhaven Baptist Church in Portsmouth, VA, and he preceded her in death on November 20, 2005.

Betty worked as an LPN for Genesis Medical Center - Silvis. She later worked for Oak Glen Home. Betty was a member of Holy Cross Lutheran Church and their ladies group. She loved to work with her hands making crafts and gardening. Above all, Betty loved spending time with her family, most especially her grandchildren, and was very involved in their lives.
