Beverly Ann (Bergstrom) Hill, 84, passed away at home on June 10, 2026, holding the hand of her best friend and husband of nearly 67 years. Private family services will be held at a future date. Memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.

Bev was born on June 23, 1941, the eldest child of Charles and Kathryn (Weber) Bergstrom. She was a lifelong resident of the Quad Cities. She married her high school sweetheart, Bill Hill, on August 11, 1959. Together they raised three daughters. Their youngest, Jodi, was called to heaven on July 7, 1977. Amidst her own grief, Bev was a pillar of strength and support for her family. In Jodi’s memory, Bev began collecting bunnies, especially in groups of three, amassing a beautiful tribute throughout the years.

Bev was a fiercely independent woman, confident to speak what was on her mind. She took great care with her appearance–especially her beautiful white hair–and never left home without her jewelry.

Bev was a natural athlete. As a 1959 graduate of Moline High School, she represented her school as a #1 tennis player and cheerleader. She had a talent for many sports, including aerobics, golf (hole-in-one) and bowling (average 190). Bev was also an excellent fishing partner to her husband, spending many hours bass fishing on Apple Canyon Lake in Illinois and Sam Rayburn Reservoir in Texas. They also saltwater fished in Florida. Bev’s prize fish was a 5 pound flounder she caught in Panama City Beach.

Bev’s “career” was caring for others. She was a loving daughter, mother, grandmother and neighbor. She was a caregiver, lawn mower, snow shoveler, taxi service and friend to everyone in her life. Always willing to help others with whatever was needed, Bev was an excellent role model for compassion.

Bev’s life was guided by her love for her family. Game nights were filled with fun and laughter. She was a master at Rummikub. She hosted Thanksgiving in Florida for 25 years. Christmas time at her house was magical with an abundance of decorations and carefully chosen gifts.

With the birth of her first grandchild, Bev became known to all as “Momo.” She took endless hours of video of her grandchildren–documenting their lives. Both grandkids inherited their athletic ability and love for all sports from their Momo. When they started playing sports themselves, Momo started her cheerleading career all over again, attending every game no matter where. Everyone knew she was there, as she loudly cheered them on from the sidelines.

Surviving is her loving husband, Willet (Bill) Hill; her daughters, Tracy (Lee) Foulk and Suzanne Hill; and her grandchildren, Aubrey Foulk (King Marchand) and Aaron (Taylor) Foulk. She was preceded in death by her daughter, Jodi Rae Hill, her parents, her sister Carolyn (Ted) Bohl, her brother, Richard Bergstrom, and her in-laws, Royal and Dorothy Hill.

The family wishes to thank Compassus of Moline for their compassion and support in Bev’s final days.
