Bob Brissman of East Moline, IL, passed away peacefully on September 27, 2014 at University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics, Iowa City, IA.
Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Friday, October 3, 2014 at Esterdahl Mortuary & Crematory, Ltd., 6601- 38th Avenue, Moline, IL. Visitation will be from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m., Thursday, October 2, 2014 at the funeral home. Burial will be at Greenview Memorial Gardens, East Moline. Memorials may be made to the Bob Brissman scholarship established at UTHS.
Bob was born in Moline, the son of Chester and Dorothy McBain Brissman. He married Peggy Connell in Davenport. Bob was a lifelong member of Immanuel Lutheran Church, East Moline, until its recent closing.
He graduated from United Township High School. He later graduated from University of Illinois with a degree in Math and Computer Science. He was a member of the Beta Sigma Psi fraternity.
Bob was an avid tennis player and played golf. He was a fan of all sports, but especially followed Western Big Six conference teams, Illinois, and Augustana College. He was a member of the National Guard for 6 years.
He worked his entire career at Deere, first at J. D. Harvester and then Deere and Company in information technology.
