Bonnie J. Howard

Bonnie J. Howard, 64, of Moline, passed away, October 14, 2024, at Clarissa C. Cook Hospice House.

Funeral services will be held at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday, October 19, 2024, at Esterdahl Mortuary and Crematory, Ltd., Moline. Visitation will be from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. on Friday, October 18, 2024, at the funeral home. Interment will be at St. Mary’s Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Martin Luther King Center in Rock Island, or NAMI Greater Mississippi Valley. 

Bonnie was born on October 22, 1959, in Moline, the daughter of Mary Ann (Loontiens) and Joseph Ryckeghem. She married John Howard on April 12, 1980, in Rock Island, IL. She worked as a social worker for the Martin Luther King Center in Rock Island. Bonnie dedicated her life to serving others and helping people. She loved traveling with her family and loved spending time with all her grandchildren.

Survivors include her sons, Levi (Dawn) Howard, Brian (Jen) Howard, and Chris (Katie) Hillyer; husband, John Howard; 10 grandchildren; mother, Mary Ann Ryckeghem; siblings, Val (Tim) Rumler and Russ (Jody) Ryckeghem; aunt, Pat (Jim) Williams; as well as numerous nieces and nephews and foster children.

She was preceded in death by her father, Joseph Ryckeghem and nephew, Angel Perez.
