Bonnie Jean Lofgren, 97, of East Moline, passed away Monday September 15, 2025, at her home.

At her request there will be no services. Cremation rites have been accorded. Esterdahl Mortuarey & Crematory, Ltd., Moline is assisting the family. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Christ United Methodist Church Women’s Group.

Bonnie Jean was born at home in Elmira, Missouri on September 23, 1927, to Mearl R. and Bonnie P. Daniel Bisby. She married Calvin F. Lofgren on July 9, 1950. Together they had five children. Calvin passed away on January 13, 2005. Bonnie graduated from United Township High School in 1945 and organized the class reunions throughout the years. She had been employed as a secretary at Deere & Co and later at Knox Motors. She was a Manager for Sarah Coventry Jewelry and worked as a fine jewelry consultant at Younkers. She was a member of the Illini Hospital Auxiliary, Silvis. Bonnie Jean was an active participant of the women’s activities and luncheons at the Christ United Methodist Church, East Moline. She was a also a member of the Rock Island County Historical Society and Business Women Association. She held season tickets with Circa 21 and enjoyed attending all of their performances. She enjoyed reading and was a constant traveler.

Surviving are their children: Robert (Debra), Patricia Daggett (Carl), David (Deborah), Lori and Ronald (Tracey); sisters, Linda Kleint, Barbara Denham and brother, Roger Bisby; 12 grandchildren and 19 great grandchildren.

Bonnie Jean was preceded in death by her parents, husband, and stepfather, Wilbur Guthrie.
