Bonnie R. Phillips, 89, of Moline, passed away May 12, 2024, at her home.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, May 23, 2024, at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints, East Moline. Visitation will be 1 hour prior to services at the church. Entombment will be at the Moline Memorial Park Mausoleum. Memorials may be made to UnityPoint Hospice.
Bonnie was born on May 21, 1934, in Moline, IL, the daughter of Ethel M. (Heath) and Frederick G. Kildow. She married Charles Russell Phillips on July 29, 1961, in Rock Island, IL. In Bonnie’s early years, she worked at the Le Claire movie theatre and S.S. Kresge Co., later working as an office worker at Prudential. She then decided to run her own day care in her home, which she ran for 25 years. Bonnie was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. She was also a secretary and counselor for the Relief Society Women’s Association, she was a member of MIA and former activity coordinator of the home making department with Relief Society and MIA. She enjoyed crafts and loved to share her love for it. Bonnie took great pride in her homemaking, always ensuring her home was decorated with the holidays and made it a welcoming home to all.
Survivors include her husband, Charles Russell; son Scott (Shannon) Phillips; daughter Amy (Judd) Stucky; 18 grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; and sister Patricia Banks.
She was preceded in death by her parents; daughter Penny; sisters Wanda Adamson and Georgia Pearson; and brother Eugene Kildow.
