Bruce Hutton

Bruce Hutton, 80, of Rock Island, IL, passed away on Sunday, April 5, 2026, at his home.

Visitation will be from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, April 14, 2026, at Esterdahl Mortuary and Crematory, Ltd., Moline. Graveside services will immediately follow the visitation at 12:00 p.m. at the Rock Island National Cemetery. Those wishing to attend the graveside service should plan to meet at Esterdahl by 11:30 a.m. on Tuesday for the procession.

Bruce was born on February 16, 1946, in Rock Island, IL, the son of Pat and Bulah (Kistenmacher) Hutton. He was a veteran, having served during the Vietnam War. Bruce worked as a prison guard at the East Moline Correctional Facility. He was an avid pool and poker player.

Survivors include his son, Adam Smith; daughter, Ashley Smith; nephews, Mike, Pat, and John Hutton; cousin, Larry Kistenmacher.

He was preceded in death by his parents and brother, Dennis Hutton.
