Brydant Lee Whiting, 66, of East Moline, died Tuesday, July 28, 2015, at Shady Lakes Campground, New Windsor, IL.
A family directed memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. Monday, August 3, 2015, at Elim Covenant Church, 5201 18th Avenue, Moline. Per his wishes, cremation rites have been accorded. Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society. Esterdahl Mortuary & Crematory, Ltd., Moline, is assisting the family with arrangements.
Brydant was born on April 17, 1949, in Davenport, IA, the son of Thomas and Verna Downing Whiting. He married Pat Dallas on August 4, 1995, in Rock Island, IL. He worked as an assembler for International Harvester and later in security and maintenance for Friendship Manor.
Brydant was a veteran, having proudly served in the United States Army. During his time in the military, he was stationed in Germany as a Military Police Officer.
He loved camping at Shady Lakes in New Windsor and Friday night Euchre games. He loved his family, friends, 3 dogs, and cat.
Survivors include his loving wife, Pat, East Moline, IL; daughters, Debbie (Bill) Jones, Moline, IL, and Megan (Bill) Fiduccia, Rockford, IL; sons, Josh (Annaka) Whiting, Moline, IL, and James (Jessica) Whiting, Moline, IL; stepsons, Evan (Crystal) Thorpe, Dixon, IL, Andrew (Cheryl) Thorpe, Lawton, OK, James (Eileen) Thorpe, Erie, IL, Christopher Thorpe, Clinton, IA; 22 grandchildren; 3 great grandchildren; brothers, Al (Rosie) Whiting, Davenport, IA, and Craig (Donna) Whiting, East Moline, IL; sisters, Pat (Joe) Ross, Milan, IL, and Holly (Don) Rahn, Geneseo, IL; several nieces and nephews; special friend, Angelo Baccon; Shady Lakes family.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
