Burton A. Osborn, 81, of Silvis, IL, died Monday, July 08, 2013, at Rosewood Care Center, Moline, IL.
Graveside Services will be held at 2:30 p.m. Friday, July 12, 2013, at National Cemetery at Rock Island Arsenal where military honors will be performed by Moline American Legion Post # 246. Visitation will be from 1 to 2 p.m. Friday, July 12, 2013, at Esterdahl Mortuary & Crematory, Ltd., 6601 38th Avenue, Moline, IL. Memorials may be made to Victory Baptist Church Youth Group.
Burt was born on November 2, 1931, in Cedar County, IA, the son of Dewey and Myrtle Grace (Turner) Osborn. He married Marilyn June Armstrong on March 6, 1954 in Indianapolis, IN, and she preceded him in death on May 1, 1983. He was a veteran of the Korean War where he received the Bronze Star. Burt was a professional truck driver having last worked with Adrian Carriers.
