Carol J Goings

Carol J Goings, 66, of Colona, IL, passed away, February 3, 2024, at home after a 38 year long battle with multiple sclerosis.

Celebration of Life will be held at a later date. Cremation rites have been accorded. Esterdahl Mortuary and Crematory, Ltd., Moline is assisting the family.

Carol was born on December 23, 1957, in Moline, IL, the daughter of Norma J. Davis and Ollis Sides. She married Bill Goings on April 9, 1977, in Green Rock, IL. Carol worked as a secretary for State Farm. She loved to spend time with all her grandchildren. Some of Carol’s hobbies were crafting, collecting barbies, yard-saling, and the Spoon River Drive.

Survivors include her husband, Bill; son, Jason Goings; daughter, Jill True; grandchildren, Mackenzie True, Leigh Goings, and Lauryn True; brother, Gary (Lisa) Sides.

She was preceded in death by her parents Norma and Ollis, and brother Mark Sides.
