Catharine I. Udehn, 91, of Moline, IL, died Monday, April 11, 2016, at her home.
Funeral services will be 10:00 a.m. on Friday, April 15, 2016 at Faith Lutheran Church, 1611 41 Street, Moline. Visitation will be from 5-8 on Thursday at Esterdahl Mortuary & Crematory, Ltd., 6601 38 Avenue, Moline. Burial will be at National Cemetery at the Rock Island Arsenal. Memorials may be made to Faith Lutheran Church.
Catharine was born on October 14, 1924, in Waucoma, IA, the daughter of Paul Herbert and Leta Rawson Belding. In 1941, she graduated from Waucoma Public School in Waucoma, IA. She then graduated from St. Mary’s Hospital School of Nursing in Rochester, MN, in 1946 and from Upper Iowa University, Fayette, IA, in 1947.
On September 26, 1946, Catharine married Duane Perry, who preceded her in death on October 21, 1946. She later married Carlysle Udehn on June 4, 1949, in Iowa City and he preceded her in death on April 9, 1992. She was employed at the University of Iowa Hospital as a nurse and later as a dental assistant for her husband, Dr. Udehn.
Catharine was a member of Faith Lutheran Church in Moline where she served on the Church Council and was a Sunday School teacher. She was a very well rounded person with many hobbies including; sewing, bridge, reading, cooking, ice skating, gardening, water aerobics and camping.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husbands; 2 brothers, James and LaVerne “Pee Wee” Belding; sister, Dora Lee Kizer and brother-in-law, Don Kizer.
