Charles C. Lowery, 83, of Moline, IL, died Saturday, September 19, 2015, at OSF Saint Francis Medical Center, Peoria.
Per his wishes, cremation rites will be accorded and there will be no services. Esterdahl Mortuary & Crematory, Ltd., Moline, is assisting the family with arrangements.
Charles was born on September 25, 1931, in Manila, AR, the son of Roland E. and Josie Martin Lowery. He worked as a core maker for Farmall and was self-employed as a handyman.
Charles played the guitar and sang for many bands. He also enjoyed gardening, fishing, and going to activities. Charles especially enjoyed visiting with friends and family.
Survivors include his daughter, Mary (Danny) Leebold, Mendon, IL; grandson, Bobby Leebold, Decatur, IL; great grandchildren, Eva and Rowan Leebold, Quincy, IL; brothers, George (Norma) Lowery, Sparta, MO, and Robert (Carolyn) Lowery, Lynn Center, IL; sisters, Pearl (Joe) Sifford, Geneseo, IL, Faye Creecy, Charlotte, NC, Betty (John) Bristol, Moline, IL, Annie McCullum, Dexter, MO, and Barbara Bird, Bay City, MI, Ruthie (Frank) Jones, Moline, IL, and Martha Norin, Moline, IL; numerous nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents; brother; Buck Lowery; sister, Mary Lee Lowery.
