Charles "Chuck" Swanson, 77, of Lynn Center, IL, died Friday, February 14, 2014, at home.
Funeral Services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, February 19, 2014, at Swedona Lutheran Church.
Visitation will be from 4 to 7 p.m. Tuesday, February 18, 2014, at Kirk, Huggins & Esterdahl Funeral Home, Ltd., 1301 4th Street, Orion. Burial will be at Swedona Cemetery. In lieu of flowers Chuck asked for memorials to be made to Swedona Lutheran Cemetery.
Chuck was born on June 8, 1936, in Chicago, IL, the son of Arthur and Myrtle (Chelstrom) Swanson. He married Carol A. Burdick on August 19, 1955, in Cambridge, IL. He served 7 years for the National Guard.
Chuck worked as a welder for Swanson Welding, a farmer, and a rural mail carrier. He was a lifetime member of Swedona Lutheran Church and a member of the Swedona Lutheran Church and Cemetery Boards. Chuck was also a member of the National Farmer's Association and the NRLCA. He enjoyed fishing, golf, and hunting.
