Charles “Chuck” J. Dailey, 92, of Moline, passed away Wednesday May 31, 2023, at his home.
A gathering of family and friends will be held from 3-5:30 p.m. Friday June 16, 2023, in the Clubroom at Overlook Village, Moline. Burial of cremains will be at the Rock Island National Cemetery at a later date. Esterdahl Mortuary & Crematory, Ltd., Moline, is assisting the family.
Chuck was born on June 22, 1930, in East Moline, the son of Charles J. and Augusta (Roets) Dailey, Sr. He was a U.S. Veteran, having served in the Air Force. He married Alice Brown on May 29, 1954, in East Moline. She preceded him in death on July 4, 2021. Chuck was previously employed as a tool designer for Farmall. After retiring from Farmall, he would go on to paint houses. He enjoyed woodworking and playing Rolle Bolle. Chuck was a family man who loved his children and grandchildren. He also loved the Rock River and the “River Rats”.
Survivors include his children, Stephen Dailey, Janice (Mike) Stephenson, Joseph (Yunhee) Dailey, Tracy (Michael) Juscius, Patrick Dailey; grandchildren, Scott (Ashley) Berg, Kelsey (Josh Hoffman) Berg, Jessica Berg, Macy (Jesse Kwan) Dailey, Charles Dailey, Jake Dailey; sister, Jean (Jerry) Baker, Gloria Veskauf; brother, Robert (Rosemary) Dailey.
He was preceded in death by his wife and two brothers, Richard and Danny Dailey.
