Chester C. Reeder, 96, of Bettendorf, IA died Tuesday, January 17, 2012 at Trinity Pathway Hospice, Bettendorf, IA.
There will be a Memorial Service at Bettendorf Christian Church and a Masonic Service at the Masonic Lodge in Macomb all at a later date. Per his wishes, cremation rites have been accorded. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Trinity Pathway Hospice of the Quad Cities. Esterdahl Mortuary & Crematory, Ltd., Moline, is assisting the family with arrangements.
Chester was born on March 11, 1915 in Camden, IL to John F. and Sarah C. (Morrell) Reeder. He married Lena M. Hindbaugh on August 6, 1936 in Mt. Sterling, IL. Chester was a member of several organizations. He was a member of Asbury United Methodist Church and attended Bettendorf Christian Church. He was a past master of several Masonic lodges and a past District Deputy Grand Master of the IL Grand Lodge. Chester was a member of the Macomb Masonic Lodge and the Quincy Consistory, and longtime member of O.E.S. as well as past worthy patron of O.E.S. Chester loved his family very much and enjoyed wood working projects. He was known for his pies and he mastered the computer at age 85!
