Chong Sue Kyong Hamlin

Chong Sue Kyong Hamlin, 69, of East Moline, passed away Thursday May 4, 2023, at her home.

Cremation rites will be accorded and Esterdahl Mortuary & Crematory, Ltd., Moline is assisting the family.

Chong was born on July 18, 1953, in Gimcheon, South Korea, the daughter of Young Bok and Bok-Soon (Moon) Kyong. She married Texas Warner Hamlin on October 19, 1981, in New Jersey. He preceded her in death on August 13, 2008. Chong was a loving and devoted homemaker, mom and grandmother. She was a member of Grace Korean Church. Chong enjoyed gardening and loved being with her family.

Survivors include her children, Kimberly Hamlin (Ryan), Teresa Duffek; grandchildren, Isaiah Duran, Presley Duffek; sister, Kay Lee.

She was preceded in death by her husband and her parents.
