Christena L. Harrington

Christena L. Harrington, 63, of Colona, IL, passed away, June 7, 2025, at University of Iowa Hospitals & Clinics.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, June 14, 2025, at Esterdahl Mortuary and Crematory, Ltd., Moline. Visitation will be from 12:30 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. on Saturday at the funeral home. Interment will be at Coal Valley Cemetery.

Christena was born on July 4, 1961, in Princeton, MO, the daughter of Herbert Lee and Irma Jean (Jennings) Harrington. She was a member of the Edgewood Baptist Church. Christena found great joy in running; she was an avid marathon runner and a board member of the Cornbelt Running Club. She’s taken on the Boston Marathon in 2013 and 2015, and half of the Ironman Marathon. Christena also loved to travel.

Survivors include her sons, Vincent (Felecia) Krause of Clinton, IA and Jeremiah (Reagan) Krause of Coal Valley, IL; grandchildren, Ashton Fisher-Boles, Charlotte Fisher-Boles, Aidyn Fisher; Layla Rieck, Andy Flah, Ryker Krause, and Myles Krause; sister, Pam McCoy of Boone, IA; best longtime friends, Paula Wikle and Michael Wegmann

She was preceded in death by her parents.
