Christopher Hayes

Christopher “Chris” F. Hayes, 57, of Moline, passed away Wednesday, December 16, 2020.

Private family services will be held at this time.  Memorials may be made to the family.  Esterdahl Mortuary and Crematory, Ltd., Moline is assisting the family.

Chris was born on September 5, 1963, in Clinton, IA, the son of Martin and Dorothy (Horn) Hayes.  He married Lisa Genac on July 4, 1994 in Colona, IL.  Chris worked for the State of Illinois Department of Corrections for 20 years, most recently serving as a parole agent.  He was a United States veteran and served in the U.S. Navy.  He was a member of Christ the King Catholic Church, Moline, and the Knights of Columbus.  He enjoyed camping and fishing, traveling, working on projects, cooking, and taking care of his family and friends.

Survivors include his wife, Lisa; children, Matthew (Joshua Brown), Jared, and AnnaLiese Hayes; siblings, Ginny Hayes Manske (Gene Taets), Laurie Hayes, Jan (Chris) LaRoche; and many nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents.
