Clara C. Glynn, 91, of East Moline, IL, died Tuesday, March 27, 2012 at Aledo Rehab & Health Care Center, Aledo, IL.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:30 a.m. Friday, March 30, 2012 at St. Anne Catholic Church, 555 18th Avenue, East Moline, IL. Visitation will be from 9 to 10 a.m. prior to the service at Esterdahl Mortuary & Crematory, Ltd., 6601 38th Avenue, Moline. Entombment will be at Saint Mary's Mausoleum. Memorials may be made to the family.
Clara was born on May 16, 1920 in Davenport, IA, the daughter of Edward and Agnes (Bos) Thomas. She married Sherman "Bud" Glynn on February 22, 1941. He preceded her in death on September 13, 2004. She was a woman of many hobbies and skills. She was a great bowler, fantastic cook particularly known for her canning and delicious Christmas cookies, loved gardening, and was particularly skilled at sewing and quilting. She and her husband traveled to 49 states and several countries. Most of all, Clara loved being Grandma.
