Curt Warner Tagtmeier, 47, of Grayslake, Illinois, passed away Sunday, August 25, 2024.
Memorial Services will be held at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday, September 7, 2024, at Salem Lutheran Church, 1724 15th St., Moline, IL. Visitation will be held from 11:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. at the church.
Curt was born on October 23, 1976, in Silvis, IL, the son of Thomas and Beth (Pearson) Tagtmeier. He graduated from Illinois State University with a master’s degree in history and from Dominican University with a master’s degree in library and information science. Curt worked as a librarian in the northern Chicago area and was passionate about writing and music. He enjoyed many different writing styles that included creating novels, essays, and poetry compilations, comic plots, and plays. Additionally, Curt attended countless live music concerts throughout the United States and produced online critiques, magazine articles, and podcasts based on his experiences.
Survivors include his parents, Tom & Beth; brother, Eric (Amanda) Tagtmeier; nephew, Jackson; niece, Kennedy; aunts, Christine Pearson and Judy Tagtmeier; cousins, Erika Ford, Tristan Pearson, John, Chris & Ellen Tagtmeier.
He was preceded in death by his grandparents, William & Wilmogene Tagtmeier and Carl & Cheryl Pearson, and uncles Steven Tagtmeier and Kevin Pearson.
He will be missed.
