Cynthia Diane Case

Cynthia Diane Case, 59, of Moline, IL, was brought home to rest in the arms of the Lord early in the morning on September 26, 2012, at her home after a courageous battle with esophageal cancer.
Funeral Services lead by Rev. Sonia Alvarado will be held at 10 a.m. Monday, October 1, 2012 at Bethel Wesley United Methodist Church, 1201 13th Street, Moline. Visitation will be from 3 to 7 p.m. on Sunday, September 30, 2012 at Esterdahl Mortuary & Crematory, Ltd., 6601 38th Avenue, Moline. There will be an additional visitation one hour prior to the service at the church. Burial will be at Rose Lawn Memorial Estates. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to her family for medical expenses.
Cindy was born on November 13, 1952 in Macomb, Illinois to Wanda Colleen and Wendell Lee Mesick and her big brother Dennis.
The family later moved to Moline where Cindy graduated from Moline High School and answered the call to nursing, a perfect fit for her selfless caring of everyone she ever met. Cindy was head nurse for Dr. Anis Ahmad for 31 years where Christ's light shown through her, blessing her patients every day.
Cindy married Roger Keith Case on October 13, 1973. Their children Keith Charles (Amber) Case and Melissa Suzanne Case are the joy of her life. Cindy doted on her grandchildren, Kain Charles, Kadence Jean, and Kyla Diane Case.
Cindy's entire life centered around her family including their friends who often looked to her as a mother. She enjoyed bowling, and family vacations to Disney World.
The family would like to thank Dr. Mark Iannettoni and nurse Kelley McLaughlin and all the medical staff on 4RC in Iowa City who gave her such great care and kept her comfortable in this difficult time.
Cindy was preceded in death by her father, Wendell Mesick, and her mother and father-in-law, James and Doris Case.
