Dale M. Shake

Dale M. Shake, 32, of Coal Valley, passed away Tuesday March 12, 2024, at his home.

Funeral Mass and Celebration of Life will be held 10 a.m. Monday March 18, 2024, at St. Maria Goretti Catholic Church, 220 E 22^nd Avenue, Coal Valley. Visitation will be held from 1-3 p.m. Sunday with a Rosary to be recited at 3 p.m. at Esterdahl Mortuary & Crematory, Ltd., 1301 4^th Street, Orion. Inurnment with military honors will be at the Rock Island National Cemetery. Cremation rites have been accorded. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Quad City Animal Welfare Center or the Wounded Warrior Project.

Dale was born on January 11, 1992, in LaSalle-Peru the son of Rex L. and Julianne (Mielke) Shake. He was a U.S. Veteran having served in the Air Force as a Fighter Aircraft Integrated Avionics Specialist. He was previously a member of The Moline Boys Choir and was involved in several plays at the Quad City Music Guild. He loved his pets and being outdoors. Dale also enjoyed art and music, having taught himself to play the mandolin.

Survivors include his parents, Rex & Julie Shake; twin sister, Melinda (Steve Fararre) Shake; sister, Michelle (Dan) Linton; brother, Ben (Julia) Rogers; grandmother, Marjorie Shake; nieces and nephews, Elizabeth, Natalie, Jillian, William, Jackson; numerous aunts, uncles and cousins.

He was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Dale & Betty Mielke and paternal grandfather, Dale Shake.
