Dale Eugene Zeug

Dale Eugene Zeug, 94, of Orion, passed away, May 2, 2025, at MercyOne Genesis Silvis Medical Center.

Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Wednesday, May 7, 2025, at Esterdahl Mortuary and Crematory, Orion. Visitation will be from 4:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday, May 6, 2025, at the funeral home. Interment will be at Greenwood Cemetery, Muscatine. Memorials may be made to the family.

Dale was born on April 13, 1931, in Cedarville, Iowa, the son of Henry Conrad and Violet Bessie (Tucker) Zeug. He married Lois Mary Ann Secrist on June 28, 1954, in Muscatine, IA at the First Presbyterian Church. Dale is a veteran, having served in the United States Navy. He worked as an expediter for John Deere Harvester, where he retired from. In his free time, Dale enjoyed fishing, and hunting for deer and geese. He’d often go on trips to Minnesota and Wisconsin, alongside Lois and other family and friends.

Survivors include his wife, Lois; children, Lee Zeug, Stefan (Marcus) Brown; grandchildren, Elexia Zeug, Chase Zeug, Josh Zeug, and Chadd Zeug; two cats, Sophie and Chloe.

He was preceded in death by his parents and son, Bob Zeug.
