Dan E. Beemer

Daniel “Dan” E. Beemer, 72, of Colona, IL, passed away on Friday, October 9, 2026, at MercyOne Genesis Silvis Medical Center.

Celebration of Life will be held at 4:00 p.m. on Saturday, October 24, 2026, at Lifegate Baptist Church (485 42nd Ave. Suite 5 East Moline, IL 61244). Cremation rites will be accorded. Esterdahl Mortuary and Crematory, Ltd., Moline are assisting the family.

Dan was born on February 9, 1954, in Pekin, IL, the son of Robert and Wanda (Emmons) Beemer. He married Marcia K. Hart in Canton, TX on July 6, 1984. Dan worked as an assembler for John Deere Harvester Works. He was a member of Lifegate Baptist Church in East Moline, IL. Dan enjoyed bowling, fishing, and tinkering in his garage in his free time.

Survivors include his wife, Marcia; sons, David and Michael Beemer; stepson, Eric Polk; 2 step-grandchildren, Josephine and Matthew Polk; niece, Angel Grumadas; nephew, Steven Mustin; 2 brothers-in-law, William (Janet) Hart and Edward (Cindy) Hart; 3 sisters-in-law, Margaret Jones, Marti (Robert) Potter, and Marilyn (Larry) Cherry; as well as several other nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, brother, Robert Beemer Jr, and brother-in-law, Robert Jones, 2 sisters-in-law, Mary Grumadas and Marelene Hart.
