Danielle E. Akers

Danielle E. Akers, 42, of Georgetown, FL, passed away on Tuesday, June 30, 2026.

Visitation will be from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. on Thursday, July 16, 2026, at Esterdahl Mortuary and Crematory, Ltd., Moline. Memorial services will be held at 12:00 p.m. on Thursday, at the funeral home. All are welcome to a Celebration of Life to be held at 2:00 p.m. at The American Legion in East Moline. Cremation rites have been accorded. Inurnment will be at Greenview Memorial Gardens. Memorials may be made to the family, for future projects in Danielle’s name. The family requests all who attend to wear casual attire, and are encouraged to wear her favorite color, green.

Danielle was born on May 31, 1984, in Geneseo, IL, the daughter of David and Karen (Lawson) Akers. She worked as a server/manager at Renegades on the River in Crescent City, FL. Danielle was formerly a member of Beulah Presbyterian Church.

Survivors include her parents David and Karen Akers; siblings, Heather (Randy) Nichols of East Moline, IL, Josh Akers of Bettendorf, IA, and Heath (Mark McMillan) Akers of Rock Island, IL; paternal grandpa, Roy Akers of Coal Valley, IL; nephews, Jared Nichols, Grant (Julianna) Akers, Trey Akers, and Kaleb Akers; great-nephew, River Akers; great-niece, Milliana Akers; aunts and uncles, Debbie (Jeff) Dahl, Darla (Mike) Phelps, Dan (Cindy) Akers, David (Lori) Lawson, Linda Lawson, and Scott (Yolonda) Lawson; beloved dog, Bella.

She was preceded in death by her maternal grandparents, Roy and Betty Lawson, paternal grandma, Phyllis Akers, and special friend, Roel.
