Danny Newell Wadkins, Sr., 74, of Milan, IL, died Saturday, July 19, 2014, at Iowa City VA Health Care System, Iowa City, IA.
Cremation rites will be accorded and there will be no services. Inurnment will be at National Cemetery at Rock Island Arsenal. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the family. Esterdahl Mortuary & Crematory, Ltd., Moline, is assisting the family with arrangements.
Danny proudly served in the United States Army from 1958 - 1960.
Survivors include his loyal wife of 31 years who is missed greatly, Nancy J. Wadkins; sons, Danny N. Wadkins, Jr., David L. Wadkins, and James L. Wadkins; daughters, Cynthia K. Brooks, Kathy S. Dekezel, and Christine J. Wadkins; and step daughter, Tabitha Warner.
