Darin Kayton Tschopp, 47, of Williamsburg, VA, formerly of Coal Valley, IL, died Wednesday, February 19, 2014, in Williamsburg, VA.
A Memorial Services will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday, March 15, 2014, at Esterdahl Mortuary & Crematory, Ltd., 6601 38th Avenue, Moline. Visitation will be from 4 to 7 p.m. Friday, March 14, 2014, at the funeral home. Inurnment will be at Greenview Memorial Gardens. Memorials may be made to Colonial Williamsburg. Darin was born on November 23, 1966, in Moline, IL, the son of Eugene and Barbara Jean (Bailey) Tschopp. He graduated from Moline High School and Mary Crest College. He worked for Living History Farms in Des Moines, IA, for Hale Farm in Ohio, and for Plymouth Plantation & Plymouth Rock in Massachusetts. Darin was most recently working as an ox-man reenactor for Colonial Williamsburg.
Darin was a member of Masonic Lodge 547 AF & AM Coal Valley, Moline Consistory, and Kaaba Shrine. He was also a member of First Christian Church in Moline. Darin was known as a "Gentle giant with a gentle soul".
