Darlene M. Kolb, 88, of Moline, IL, died Sunday, June 18, 2017, at UnityPoint Health – Trinity Rock Island, Rock Island, IL.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. with a visitation from 10 to 11 a.m. Thursday, June 22, 2017, at Esterdahl Mortuary & Crematory, Ltd., 6601 38th Avenue, Moline. Burial will be at Greenview Memorial Gardens. Memorials may be made to the American Heart Association.
Darlene was born on October 29, 1928, in Moline, IL, the daughter of Joseph A. and Florence Nelson Claeys. She married John A. Kolb on June 22, 1947, in Moline and he preceded her in death on July 6, 2000. She worked as a card merchandiser for Hallmark at Osco Drug Co., retiring in 1995.
Darlene was a member of Riverside Methodist Church. She was also a member of a bowling league as well as the Geneseo Country Club, where she made a hole-in-one on June 5, 1982.
Survivors include her son, Kevin (Tami) Kolb, Bettendorf, IA; daughter, Beth Ann (Tom) Bennett, Rock Island, IL; grandchildren, Autumn (Daniel) Whitcanack, Mollie Owens, and Tony Kolb; step grandchildren, Nici and Tori Bennett; great grandchildren, Brody, Nina, Kelan, Daniel, David, and Max; sister, Marian Rodgers, Geneseo, IL.
She was preceded in death by her parents and husband.
