Darlene M. Smiddy Mundrick, 78, of Moline, died Sunday, December 28, 2014, at Rosewood Care Center, Moline, IL.
A graveside service will be 10:30 on Friday, January 2, 2015, at National Cemetery. Those wishing to attend are asked to meet at Esterdahl Mortuary & Crematory, 6601-38th Avenue, Moline, IL by 10:00 a.m. Military honors will be conducted by Moline American Legion Post #246.
Darlene was born March 10, 1936, in Moline, IL, the daughter of Dale E. and Dorothy Anderson Smiddy. She married Kenneth L. Mundrick on September 14, 1957, in Arlington, VA, and he preceded her in death on October 19, 2007.
Darlene was a veteran, having served in the United States Army. Following her service, she worked in the Laundry Department of Moline Public Hospital. She enjoyed going to the boats.
