Darrell Wayne Reddick, of Andover, IL, died Wednesday, December 26, 2012, at Trinity Rock Island.
Funeral Services will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday, December 29, 2012, at First United Methodist Church, 302 North State Street, Geneseo, IL. Visitation will be from 4 to 7 p.m. Friday, December 8, 2012, at Kirk, Huggins & Esterdahl Funeral Home, 1301 4th Street, Orion. Burial will be at Andover Cemetery. Memorials may be made to his family for a fund to be established in his name.
Darrell was born on April 5, 1938, in Letts, IA, the son of George Clayton and Rebecca (Reed) Reddick. He married Roselyn "Rose Bud" Frietag Barbre on December 21, 1957, in Andalusia, IL. She preceded him in death on July 31, 1997. Darrell worked as a painter and later as a Crane Operator for John Deere Plow Planter, Moline, retiring after 30 years in 1987. He was a very active member of Andover United Methodist Church where he was a Trustee Chairperson, lay leader, and usher. Also, he attended First United Methodist in Geneseo. Darrell loved harness racing and would volunteer to help his family, friends, and his church.
