Darrell L. Upton

Darrell L. Upton, age 77, of Moline, died Sunday, December 23, 2012 at Hope Creek Care Center, East Moline, IL.

Funeral Services will be held at 1 p.m. Friday, December 28, 2012, at Esterdahl Mortuary & Crematory, Ltd., 6601 38th Avenue, Moline. Visitation will be from 4 to 7 p.m. Thursday, December 27, 2012, at the funeral home. Burial will be at Greenview Memorial Gardens. Memorials may be made to his family.

Darrell was born on May 2, 1935, in Tahlequah, OK, the son of Russell L. and Velma E. (Anthony) Upton. He married Virginia Waggoner on September 11, 1958, in Shreveport, LA. Darrell worked as a Security Guard for Alcoa and Trinity Rock Island and was a Veteran of the United States Air Force. He enjoyed NASCAR and fishing and loved working on cars and cooking.
