David Lee Machmer, 69, of Rock Island, IL, died Tuesday, March 24, 2015, at St. Anthony's Nursing and Rehabilitation Center, Rock Island, IL.
Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Friday, March 27, 2015, at Esterdahl Mortuary & Crematory, Ltd., 6601 38th Avenue, Moline. Visitation will be from 4 to 7 p.m. Thursday, March 26, 2015, at the funeral home. Burial will be at Moline Memorial Park. Memorials may be made to Bethel Assembly of God for the Food Bank.
David was born on February 20, 1946, in Clinton, IA, the son of Charles Arthur and Dora Mae Hardlan Machmer. He Married Margo Mitchell on August 27, 1977, in Illinois. He worked as a janitor and later as a printer for DeSaulners. He later worked as a piece worker for Rock Island Display.
David enjoyed working with his hands, woodworking, and building model trains. He attended Bethel Assembly of God.
