David Dean Norman, 69, a lifelong resident of Topeka, Kansas, died on July 11, 2015 at the Iowa Masonic Health Facility, Bettendorf, Iowa.
Per his wishes cremation rites have been accorded and private family services will take place at a later time.
David was born on August, 29, 1945 in Lawrence, Kansas, the son of Paul E. and Ann Kampschroeder Norman. He graduated from Topeka High School in 1963 and Washburn University in 1967. David was a laborer for the Department of Transportation with the State of Kansas for 35 years retiring in 2010. He was also a volunteer at Stormont Vail Hospital and he enjoyed riding his bicycle. David was an avid KU fan and was a member of the Jayhawk Club. Rock Caulk Jayhawk! David attended the West Side Christian Church.
David will be missed and lovingly remembered by those who survive him, which include his sister Donna (Frank) Scalf, Silvis, IL; brother Dwight (Vana) Norman, Topeka; nieces, Irene (Stan) Parker, Colona, IL; Anna (Matt) Schony, LeClaire, IA; nephew, Art Anderson, Topeka. He was preceded in death by his parents, Paul Norman, Ann Norman Bond and step-father Cliff Bond.
