David M. Zurn, 54, of Dubuque, IA, formerly of Coal Valley, died Sunday, June 15, 2014, at Mercy Medical Center, Dubuque.
Funeral Services will be held at 10 a.m. Thursday, June 19, 2014, at St. Paul Lutheran Church, 1001 9th Street, Orion. Per his wishes there will be no visitation and burial will be at Western Township Cemetery. Memorials may be made to the family. Esterdahl Mortuary & Crematory, Ltd., Moline, is assisting the family with arrangements.
David was born on July 15, 1959, in St. Louis Park, MN, the son of Roger G. and Karen (Lawrence) Zurn. He worked as a buyer in procurement at John Deere. He proudly served in the United States Air Force.
David loved spending time with his sons and grandson, his family, and his girlfriend, Jackie. He loved talking cars, fishing, collecting coins, and playing tennis. He also enjoyed vacationing in Hayward, WI, and the beaches in Florida.
