Debra (La Mariposa) Miranda, 54, of Silvis, IL, ended her earth's journey on Friday, June 29, 2012 after living her last 4 months with cancer. She is now with her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. Her fortitude amazed family, friends and doctors.
Graveside service will be 2:30 p.m. Tuesday, July 3, 2012 at Greenview Memorial Gardens, East Moline. Visitation will be held from 1-2 p.m. Tuesday prior to the service at Esterdahl Mortuary & Crematory, Ltd., 6601-38th Avenue, Moline. Memorials may be made to Faith Lutheran Church, where she was a member.
Debra was born on June 6, 1958 in Moline, IL, the daughter of Daniel Miranda and Nellie Puga. She worked in security services for 15 years. Debra enjoyed traveling, reading, and writing. She loved doing things for others as well as taking mission trips if possible. She worked with the Red Cross in helping families of soldiers serving overseas.

She was preceded in death by her parents; nephew, Nacho Prado, Jr.; and cousin, Joyce Mumford.
Debra never complained or lost her faith in God. One of her favorite quotes was "Trust in the Lord" and her favorite gospel song "I Can Only Imagine" clearly states how Debra lived her entire life - giving unselfishly to others.
