Delorise "June" J. Brown, 85, of East Moline, IL, died Thursday, August 06, 2015, in Blue Grass, IA.
A graveside service will be held at 10:30 a.m. Monday, August 10, 2015, at National Cemetery at the Rock Island Arsenal. Those wishing to attend the service should meet at 10 a.m. at Esterdahl Mortuary & Crematory, Ltd., 6601 38th Avenue, Moline. Per her wishes, cremation rites have been accorded. Memorials may be made to Genesis Hospice. Esterdahl Mortuary & Crematory, Ltd., Moline, is assisting the family with arrangements.
June was born on June 21, 1930, in Pierre, SD, the daughter of Charles and Lola Ellsworth Bollman. She married Richard M. Brown in June of 1973 in Davenport, IA, and he preceded her in death on June 24, 1996.
June enjoyed computers, sewing, and painting. Above all, she loved her family and loved to spend time with her grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Survivors include her daughter, Donna (Jack) Nyquist, East Moline, IL; grandson, Todd (Emily) Nyquist, Geneseo, IL; granddaughter, Krista (Pastor Michael) Brown, Marion, IN; 11 great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her 2 infants, parents, husband, 2 sisters, and 1 brother.
